Soul
Throughout your life you will go through times (and for various reasons) when your emotional gauge is low and ‘running on empty’. And one of the simplest ways to ensure your emotional gauge doesn’t get low is to engage in regular recreational activity.
Recreational activities keep our souls topped up and as a result we feel regenerated. So here are some ideas which may help you feel full again:
Walking along the beach or in a beautiful park.
Painting, drawing, sculpting.
Reading an engrossing novel or book.
Playing or listening to music.
Singing or writing songs.
Hanging out with good friends who make you laugh.
Going to the movies.
Cooking.
Exercise.
Surfing, swimming, sailing, windsurfing or just being out on the water.
Visiting the art museum
Visiting the weekend markets and being inspired by the delicious smells and cool finds.
Being creative by making your own stuff (e.g. clothes, cards, gifts, jewellery).
We’re all different and so what you love doing may not have even been mentioned above. So whatever ‘re-creates you’, make sure you do it at least once a week.
