Spirit
Now, (not tomorrow, not yesterday, but right now) is a perfect time to buy yourself a journal or a scrapbook and start dreaming in it.
Don’t be concerned if it’s messy, doesn’t make sense or sounds too far fetched. It’s even okay for you to change your mind after you’ve written something down. What’s important is that it’s a place and space where dreams can begin to form and take flight.
Dream about you and God. What questions is He asking you and what do you want Him to do for you? Dream about your future. What is it you want to do with your life? What awakens your passions and drives you? Dream about your family? Do you want to get married one day? What will your future husband be like (tall, dark and handsome, no doubt)? How many children and grandchildren would you love to have? Dream about your home. What does it look like? Is it big and modern or small and cosy? Will it be full of guests and friends or a solace away from the busyness of life? Dream about your future. Where do you want to be a year from now or five years from now? What do you want people to remember most about you?
Be colourful, bold and expressive. Write, draw and imagine away. Desire and daydream. Include quotes, scriptures from the Bible, anecdotes and paste in pictures that inspire and motivate you.
Make it personal and as beautiful as can be. It’s a book that should stir your heart and remind you of who you are called to be every time you open it. It should speak to you about the unique purpose God has for you alone. Every time you open it, dedicate it to God and allow His favour to fall upon it.
Sweet Dreams!
